West Yorkshire IA provides support to people who have or are about to have an ileostomy or internal pouch formed and live in the Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax and Airedale areas.

We work closely with the hospitals in West Yorkshire, in particular with LGI, St James’, St Mary’s, St Lukes, Airedale General Hospital, Huddersfield and Pinderfields. Mr Sagar, a consultant and surgeon from LGI is our President. Working alongside the medical professionals we can provide realistic and practical advice from our own experiences of living with an ileostomy or an internal pouch.

We provide a quarterly newsletter with the main IA journal which includes details of our annual Members’ meeting, Open Days and Social Events that we are holding throughout the year. Further details of all our events can be found on our events page.
